History of the Faculty of Economics

The Faculty of Economics at Davat University was established in 2010, alongside the expansion of the University’s academic structure, and officially commenced its educational activities. Since its establishment, the Faculty has been committed to educating competent, dedicated, and highly qualified professionals in the fields of economics, management, finance, and banking, making a significant contribution to academic development and capacity building in Afghanistan.
The Faculty currently offers academic programs through two specialized departments: the Department of Finance and Banking and the Department of Management. Its academic programs are designed in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan and the needs of the labor market. The Faculty continuously strives to enhance the quality of teaching, promote scientific research, and strengthen the professional skills of its students.
Over the years, the Faculty has graduated hundreds of students who are now serving in government institutions, private organizations, national and international agencies, and various sectors of the country’s economy, contributing to Afghanistan’s social and economic development.
