In the main debate session, Ghulam Hazrat Nikpa, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Dawat University, stated:
“Free trade can contribute to economic growth only when domestic production infrastructure is strengthened and the country’s competitiveness is enhanced.”
Dr. Ali Mohammad Mortazawi, university professor and economic expert, also noted:
“Without active participation in global trade, Afghanistan’s economy will remain isolated; however, such participation must be strategic and gradual.”
During the debate, more than ten participants were given the opportunity to present their views and raise questions, which enriched the academic depth and dynamism of the event.

In conclusion, it was emphasized that free trade is neither an absolute threat nor a guaranteed opportunity; rather, it is a tool whose outcomes depend on how effectively it is utilized in shaping the country’s economic future.
